Name: Joren
Gender: Boy
Specialization: Trainer
Interests: Pokémon battles, as well as enjoys researching Pokémon and knows a lot about them. And I mean a lot.
Appearance: He has a rather broad face and a proportionally wide nose, but very thin and drawn lips. His hair is cut short, reaching to around his ears. It was of darkest black, and quite greasy. His small, heavily lashed eyes are hidden deep underneath a protruded forehead, lined with two thick brows. However, the most extraordinary piece of Joren’s appearance is the color of his eyes. It was of deep violet, something no-one else he has ever met possessed. He had a very strong jaw line and three long, but thin scars across his left cheek, the result of a close encounter with a Mightyena.
At the age of 17, Joren has succeeded in developing a muscular body, while managing to keep his agile structure. His skin is dry and rough, colored with a light tan. His only flaw is the fact that he had lost two toes of his left foot, to the same Pokémon that had marked him on the cheek.
Personality: Joren is a pleasant enough person to be generally liked by others; however he is not very patient and looses his temper very easily. He also considers himself independent, and will always have a say in important matters. He has few friends, since he thinks he can do well enough without them. Joren has a very practical attitude towards the world; to him, the looks of an object don’t matter, but its usefulness.
He views Pokémon as partners for training, and develops strong bonds of friendship with them. He places all of his trust in his Pokémon, knowing that they would never disappoint him. His preferred types of Pokémon reflect his very own nature; the unbeatable Fighting type, the durable Steel type, and the hardy Rock type.
History: Joren was raised in Veilstone, always looking up to his older sister, Maylene. Fighting Pokémon were a tradition in his family’s history, however Joren’s interest in other types widened their view on Pokémon. He studied Pokémon for a very long time, and not until recently, he came up with his three preferred types. The family’s traditional Fighting type, along with two other hardy ones, Steel and Rock. He discovered that those three were easiest for him to adapt to, and make friends with. Usually, he had a similar character to Pokémon of these types.
He still refrained from even attempting to catch any Pokémon, however, and was even considering becoming a Pokémon Prof., researching his three favorite types. He found it too demanding, however, and decided to follow his sister’s footsteps, and become a trainer. Still, he decided not to catch any Pokémon, and instead, Maylene had to lend him some. He particularly became friends with a certain Tyrouge, and with his extensive knowledge of Pokémon, he took the position of one of the Veilstone Gym trainers. In fact, Joren became one of the toughest trainers there, and few could ever get past him and his borrowed Tyrouge.
However, one day, he decided that, in retrospect, his life was semingky boring, and decided to go on his very own Pokémon adventure, instead of assisting Maylene. Thankfully, there was a region quite near Sinnoh that was not overflooded with other trainers yet, the Remoor region. He quickly packed his things and, leaving merely a note behind, he left. Of cpurse, he did not take Tyrogue with him, as the Pokémon was not his. Very sad, he left his best buddy, and set out for Remoor.
Other info: Ummm, nope, I think I more or less said it all xD
